TAKE ME HERE

TAKE ME HERE

I know it’s only June 3rd…

But I’m trying to think of what I want to do next summer. I know I’m fortunate to have my job, but it can just be so suffocating. I’m not given any new responsibilities because I’m not consistently available throughout the year, and entering my third summer it’s just getting boring. I have a greater knowledge now of how the company is run and what everyone does, and I just feel as though i’ve outgrown it. It’s tough to do pretty much the same thing for 2 years, for an increasing amount of hours, especially when it isn’t something I even find remotely interesting. So, any ideas? Unless I miraculously find an internship, I kind of want that fun summer job I never had, even if it is just for minimum wage.

As much as I trash the moms who have nannies for every hour of every day, housekeepers, a chef, and have no job themselves, sometimes it really would be nice to have my only responsibilities be to go shopping and go to the gym. Working is exhausting, especially when it is completely redundant and uninteresting.

When I see a 6 year old with nicer things than me

Got some really great advice from a coworker today

He said that school flying by and really looking forward to it is a good thing, and that all of the studying and lost sleep is all worth it in the end when you do well, get the degree and land the job. Just powering through it for 4,6,8 years is all worth it in the end :)
